Playing Poker with Propriety and Atience

While playing poker tonight, I was down on chips and on tilt ready to go all in regardless of what I was dealt in my hand; but to my surprise, I was dealt Ace & Eight of Clubs. I called the bet which was $400 and there were 4 other players besides myself. The dealer turns the flop which included a Ace, somebody bets, everyone calls including myself. The dealer then flips the turn card which was another Ace. Awesome for me and I bet & everyone calls. by now, the pot is sizable and the River is about to be revealed.

The dealer flips the River card & lo’ and behold it is the last Ace which for me spells QUAD ACES! I put out a healthy bet which looks like I’m trying to buy the pot and I get one caller. Now to her surprise and to he amazement of the others, I flip over my eight and then reveal the death blow which is the unfathomable last Ace to be shown.

The monstrous pot is raked in by none other but me! This is the first time I have ever won or even had QUAD ACES and now I am back in the game after much hoot, holler & uproar! You cannot really get to much better than Four Aces, despite the straight & royal flushes.

So, finaly, this was a first and the timing was perfect. I played with propriety and patience to my advantage & I went on to place 3rd overall, thus concluding my epic adventure in the quest of Four Aces!!!!
